Oil Cooler SPLITSCREEN Installation

FITMENT: 2017-2023 Harley-Davidson Touring (FLHR, FLHRC, FLHRXS, FLHT, FLHX, FLHXS, FLHXST, FLTRX, FLTRXS and FLTRXST models) equipped with an Oil Cooler which looks like the images on this page. Exceptions: Does not fit models with Water Cooling:

The Oil Cooler SPLITSCREEN installation begins with removal of the oil cooler cover by grasping the bottom and “rotating” the oil cooler cover PINS away from and out of the rubber grommets. Re-installation is the opposite procedure as per:

STEP-ONE: OIL COOLER COVER REMOVAL (if rubber grommets “stick” to PINS – remove from PINS and replace)

NOTE: Stock oil cooler cover is shown. Installing the protective Oil Cooler SPLITSCREEN directly onto the oil cooler itself allows usage of either the stock oil cooler cover (left) or the Road Glide® Fairing Spoiler 57001042XXX (or similar)

Thoroughly clean the oil cooler area between the rubber grommets where the 3M double-sided adhesive tape (pre-installed on back of SPLITSCREEN) will stick.
After a “practice placement” to ensure proper alignments, remove 3M Tape protective film and affix SPLITSCREEN onto the oil cooler taking care to align screen slots/openings with cooler tabs/rubber grommets as per:

Re-install Oil Cooler Cover by hanging SLOTS onto Oil Cooler TABS and rotating PINS back into RUBBER GROMMETS. CONTRATULATIONS on a job well done……enjoy your Oil Cooler SPLITSCREEN protection!
