Why we don’t collect Sales Tax
Thanks for your purchase! As a small business engaged solely in relatively low-volume internet sales of niche products, Elegant Solutions Inc. is not required to collect State sales/use tax. Because our specialty products sales volume is spread mostly across the USA, we don’t exceed any of the individual 50 State’s annual/monthly minimum dollar/sales volume trigger-points.
Your purchase from us is not necessarily exempt from State sales/use tax merely because it is made over the Internet or by other remote means, therefore you may owe sales/use tax to your State of Residency/Delivery. A required notice to that effect is included within each package delivered.
Your State may require that the purchaser file a sales/use tax return at the end of the year reporting all of the taxable State purchases that were not taxed and pay tax on those purchases. Details of how and when to file this return may be found at your State’s Department of Revenue (or equivalent). For your convenience, a 50 States Sales Tax URL’S list is provided. While this list was reasonably accurate when conceived, the content and location of that content is subject to change and/or editing. These links should however serve to point you in the right direction.
